“We have as our ambition…to be pleasing to Him.” 2 Cor. 5:9

It is a natural desire to become the best we can be. “Before” and “after” photos are inspiring and compelling, whether they depict weight loss, a home renovation, or dental work, we love to see positive change and tangible results. New Year’s Day is a common time to evaluate our lives and set goals for the future – goals of what we would like to accomplish in the coming year and positive changes we would like to see.

The Keepers Ministry Team would like to encourage you as you prayerfully set your personal goals and work toward achieving them.  Over the next four months we will be posting a series of articles covering four areas of our lives: spiritual, emotional, physical and relational. All these areas are related,  like the wheels on a car,  if even one is out of balance it will affect the function of all areas of our life.* We hope this series will be a helpful tool as you evaluate your life to recognize the areas that need strengthening ( see Psalm 139:23-24). We also hope that you will be encouraged by personal testimonies of women who have struggled and found that God’s grace is sufficient and that there is victory in Christ.

We begin our series with the “spiritual” wheel as we recognize that the spiritual part of our life is both foundational and eternal. (See “Week One” in the Called to be a Keeper Bible Study!) Please read Marcia Newkirk’s article today which gives an excellent overview and biblical guide for setting goals for the new year (find it on our homepage or in “New Year’s”).

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6

Happy New Year from the Keepers Team!

In Christ,
