This Sunday we will celebrate the fourth Sunday of Advent by lighting the purple candle known as the Angel’s candle.  This candle symbolizes peace. Only one candle remains unlit on our wreath, the center candle.  As your family gazes at the light from the four lit candles, let it remind you that we are called to be a light to the world (Mathew 5 14-16).

If you are slowly adding figures to your manger scene, everyone should be there except the baby Jesus, who will be added next Sunday, and the magi who can be added at an even later time.

As Christmas is quickly approaching, do a check up with your family. How is each one doing about putting Christ at the center of Christmas? Continue to wait with anticipation for His coming.  Don’t let the busyness of the world and its celebrations distract your family from the true meaning of the Christmas season this year.
