- King Arthur Flour Baker’s Companion – great all-encompassing baking resource
- Baking by James Petterson – more advanced baking resource
- Celebrity Cookbooks – Ina Garten, Giada DeLourentis, Paula Deen, Bobby Flay, John Besh, etc. (Find an author that you relate to…these recipes tend to be more creative…something different)
- Great Food Fast and “Everyday Food” Magazine – Martha Stewart
- Church/non-profit cookbooks – usually not tested but great for “local” recipes
- Junior League cookbooks – usually thoroughly tested but also great for “local” recipes
